School Tours

The Portland Classical Chinese Garden offers guided tours of the garden during the school day and school calendar to pre K-12th grade students at a school rate.  The minimum number of people required for a school tour is 15 people (for example, 12 students and 3 adults.) To book a docent-led school tour, the Chinese Garden requires at least 2 weeks advance notice.  If the group falls below the 15 person minimum, the cost will be calculated on normal admission fees.  For groups larger than 25-30, additional docents will be scheduled.

School tours average 30-45 minutes.

Cost

School Group Rate:  $3.75 per person (pre K-12th grade students, teachers, and chaperones).

Minimum ratio of students to adults

Preschool – 3rd Grade (4:1)
4th- Grade – 7th Grade (5:1)
8th Grade – 12th Grade (7:1)
