Celebrate Chinese New Year

January 26-February 8

An annual festival for families and children, the Garden’s Chinese New Year celebration includes lion dances, red envelopes for all visitors, storytelling, martial arts demonstrations, and displays explaining the rich culture and history of the celebration of the Chinese New Year. The celebration begins January 26 and culminates with a lantern viewing on February 8!

Bloom Guide Walk

Discover the Garden in bloom as the Garden’s horticulture staff leads a tour of the Garden focused on the monthly What’s Blooming? guide.

The Bloom Guide Walk will occur on the third Saturday of every month.

The Art of Chinese Brush Painting

Art Showcase

The Garden will feature a show and sale of original art from Suzhou and from Jiangsu Province.

A percentage of all sales are returned to the Garden to support future programs.

There are no classes scheduled at this time.

Event Policies

Where noted, some events, classes, and lectures require registration and/or payment.  To register for these events and classes, please call the Garden’s Registration line at 503.228.8131 ext. 2001 and leave all required information.  Unless otherwise noted, tickets or letters of confirmation are not issued.  Your registration is complete when the event fee is paid in full.

To receive a full refund, cancellations must be made one full week in advance of the event, class or lecture.

Due to advanced purchasing of supplies and staffing requirements, participants who withdraw less than seven days prior to the event will not receive a refund or credit.

Cancellations by the Portland Classical Chinese Garden

Portland Classical Chinese Garden reserves the right to cancel or modify events, classes and/or lectures or change venues when necessary and will make every effort to contact all registrants in advance and/or accommodate them in other courses.  Events, classes or lectures may be canceled for insufficient enrollment at any time.  In this case, all participants will receive a full refund.
